Just like any other youngster, I have been trying to build muscle. However, there is a lot that you need to know about your body, diet and workouts in order to be able to build muscles. There are several muscle groups and working out each of them in the right way without injuring them is the most difficult thing to do. A lot of times when you do not know the right technique to perform exercises and also do not have the right nutritional diet, you end up achieving negative results.

I researched in several books and read up on a lot of online sites about tips and techniques that you should follow in order to build muscle. I came across a lot of facts and information which I have provided below:

1. It is important to lift weights in order to be able to build muscles. There are a number of things that you should be doing along with your training regimen so that you are able to achieve the most out of your weight lifting.

2. A lot of people believe that it is not possible to lose fat and build muscle at the same time. But if you apply the fundamentals of proper weight training and nutrition, you can achieve the goal of completely reshaping your body.

3. If you want to achieve the results fast, you will need to include a power cardio into your weight training program. This will allow you to build muscles, strength, power and at the same time lose fat. The best way to lose weight successfully is weight training and not just walking and a high protein diet.

4. Your weight training should be done in intervals. A combination of a brief period of exercise with a brief period of rest will help you achieve results. Power cardio has been proved to be one of the most effective ways to achieve your fitness goals. You can make variations in your training program by altering the exercise to rest ratio and the number of intervals. This will make your workouts harder or easier and make it simpler for you to accomplish your goal.

5. The way you workout affects the amount of muscle you build. And, what you eat before and after your workout can also have a significant effect on your muscles.

6. Apart from having a good diet and a regular workout routine, you need to remember that you need to drink lots of water. It is important to have six to eight glasses of water per day.

It has been stated in a study reported in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition that people who only followed a 800 calorie, high protein diet were able to lose fat and muscle whereas people who followed the diet and lifted weights for 30 to 40 minutes for three days in a week were able to lose fat and build muscle.

Going through all of these really motivated and inspired me to do something and I tried but I still needed more information and facts.
